Weight Loss

Woman JoggingThere are a lot of philosophies out there on how to loose weight. Beware of those diets that are too extreme like going without several meals. Going without several meals in a row for too long may cause the reverse affect. Your body may think it needs to stock up on energy by storing it as fat the next time you have a meal. Generally improving your diet by eating healthy low carb foods along with cardio exercise will help greatly. Keep in mind that if you decide to exercise be sure to do it for 20 minutes or more. Preferably exercise more than 20 minutes. This is because your body has two basic ways of using its energy. One way is that it uses the sugar that is in your bloodstream for energy and the other energy source is fat. On average a person will need to exercise for at least 20 mins before the sugar is used up and your body begins to tap into fat reserves. Be sure to also drink plenty of water. Water is important when dieting and exercising.

Another thing to consider is if you are having a hard time avoiding fattening foods find ways to eliminate the cravings. Some people learn what events during the day trigger the cravings. For example a common trigger for fattening food cravings is looking at the fridge. One thing people do that has had good results for them is printing out on a paper in large text why you want to loose weight. Having a motivational “why” statement every time you experience a craving will help you to avoid the more fattening foods. Another simple and practical way is to stop buying those fattening foods.

Simply put eating less (calories), eating healthy, getting exercise, changing your habits, and using essential oils is your key to success!
